Bloody Molly

Bloody Molly

This twist on a Bloody Mary uses Jameson whiskey instead of vodka, which might sound odd but it totally slides in. Or you could use an Irish gin if you want. The amounts listed make one drink, but you can scale it up as needed if you want to increase the dosage.

Makes 1

100ml tomato juice

50ml Jameson Irish Whiskey (or another blended Irish whiskey)

2 teaspoons dry sherry

½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

½ teaspoon Tabasco sauce

¼ teaspoon celery salt

¼ teaspoon horseradish cream

ice cubes

celery stick, to garnish

olives, to garnish

Put the tomato juice, whiskey, sherry, Worcestershire, Tabasco, celery salt and horseradish cream in a jug and blitz it with a hand blender.

Pour it all into an iced long glass and stir it for 10 seconds with a tablespoon. Garnish with a cocktail stick that has a 2.5cm-long celery slice on it along with an olive or two.
