The Irish Whiskey Cookbook

The Irish Whiskey Cookbook

50 Recipes to Cook, Sip and Savour

Ireland’s whiskeys have long been a staple in Irish cuisine. Whether it’s just for seasoning or as the primary ingredient, the world-renowned spice and sweetness of Irish whiskey can lend a soft touch or bold character to an array of dishes.

The Irish Whiskey Cookbook: 50 Recipes to Cook, Sip and Savour presents 50 recipes divided evenly between savoury and sweet. Each recipe also includes the perfect whiskey pairing to enjoy alongside it, providing a complete blueprint for Irish whiskey dining and drinking experiences. Think barbecued ribs cooked with a tangy whiskey sauce and paired with a long thirst-quenching Irish whiskey cocktail or Irish coffee brownies served with the perfect Irish coffee.

In The Irish Whiskey Cookbook, Ireland’s national spirit comes alive with every bite.

About the author

Oisín Davis worked in entertainment and hospitality for many years before he founded Great Irish Beverages, Ireland’s first dedicated drinks marketing and publicity company. It has taken him all over the world educating bartenders and media about Irish whiskey and spirits. He has also run nationwide drinks festivals such as The Irish Gin & Tonic Fest and manages publicity for some of Ireland’s most prestigious spirit brands. Writing has always been a consistent element of Oisín’s life. He was won multiple awards for his spirits column with Food & Wine in the Business Post, and in 2023, he published his debut book, Irish Kitchen Cocktails. When not writing about booze and food, he can be found talking about it, specifically on the Beár Bia travelling podcast that he co-hosts and as a regular speaker, contributor and judge at a range of national and international culinary festivals and competitions. @oisindavis
